AMS Principal's Message

 

At Ashland Middle School, we strive to make everyone, students, families, and staff, feel like they belong. Opportunities abound for 6th through 8th grade students as our clubs, activities, and positive learning environments provide experiences that meet individual interests while challenging each student to explore their potential. 

Our school day offers four core classes; English-Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies. Additionally, two Related Arts periods are offered where students can choose from a wide array of interests to explore. We also set aside time for each student to get the support needed to be successful and an Advisory Time where students work together to build a positive school wide community of learners. 

I am extremely excited to join the Ashland Middle School Team. Entering my twenty seventh year as an educator, I have always maintained a single personal philosophy: Care about kids and we will be successful. At Ashland Middle School, we do just that. We care about our students. A dedicated staff at AMS ensures that learning will be engaging, challenging, and relevant to their future goals and aspirations.
